Frequently Asked Questions
Why DBStream Trial Edition failed and asked for an edition upgrade, even if the DB size is less than 5GB and backup size is less than 1GB?
Please make sure you enabled the compression by the parameter "-z=B" in backup command.
Why I could not observe DBStream is as fast as it declares?
Firstly, make sure the network between source and target is stable and fast. If network is the bottle-neck of performance, try to enable compression by the parameter "-z=B"
Secondly, check the system healthy of source and target, if any of them runs into resource lack.
Finally, make sure storage system in target is not the bottle-neck of performance. To confirm that, please restore a backup file from a very fast backup device, and compare the MB/s value with DBStream. If the two values are close, you need faster storage for better performance.
Why I can not set the concurrent stream/thread count to 9+?
Technically, it can be up to 32, while tons of our tests show, 8 is even more than enough. Actually 2~4 streams/threads can take good care of most of the cases. So the max stream/thread count is locked at 8.
